” Whats the time ?, Arrey time note kar lena yaad se. Baby ko lekar aaye? Ho gaya? ” were the series of questions everyone asked in anticipation of welcoming a new member in the Bhateja family outside the OT on the 5th Floor (Labor Department) of Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.
3:58 p.m, 12th of March brought in a new baby boy in our lives marking the beginning of a new era.
Chachas, maama, daadis, daadas, naani, naana, parnaani, pardada and many new relations came into being in a matter of seconds.
“I couldn’t believe what just happened. It was overwhelming. I am speechless.. ” said the newly turned father, Rohit Bhateja.
“I just couldn’t wait, I wanted to run inside the nursery and have a glimpse of the baby” said the newly turned chacha, Rohan Bhateja.
What followed was distribution of sweets, congratulatory messages, tears, joy and the excitement of holding the little one and a very new life that lies ahead.
“Hope everything went well and everyone is super happy !” said the tired but relieved mother, Neha Bhateja after a day of long lasting pain and never ending wait.
“Shree Ram is here !” exclaimed the just turned Dada and Daadi munching sweets and playing with the newborn. They couldn’t thank God enough.
“Thank you Dr. Basu for taking utmost care of the mother and the baby” said everyone when the doctor came for the final visit of the day. Those moments when doctors become equivalent to God and you just cant draft words on how to thank them for everything.
Nobody wanted to leave, nobody wanted to miss the next move of the baby, the evening passed at the speed of light and everyone returned home happier than ever rejoicing on what turned out to be a glorious day for the family.
